Each year, over 150 ESL students and 100 Citizenship students come to the DLC to learn in a comfortable, welcoming, and safe environment. With the vital help of roughly 200 trained volunteers, the 6 person staff at the DLC provides a space for classes and tutoring (all learning is on-site), up-to-date curriculum and learning materials, computers for each classroom with ESL software, and a vibrant community that builds the confidence of each of our learners. While the DLC receives both foundation and government grants to cover about 30% of operational costs, the Center relies heavily on donations from generous individuals to function. By donating to the DLC, you become part of our learning community, giving women and their families the opportunity to grow and participate fully in their communities.

Please help women and their families learn to read, write and speak English by donating to provide space, training for tutors, up-to-date ESL curricula, and the many resources offered to students at the Dominican Literacy Center.
The Dominican Literacy Center is a 501(c)3 organization and your donation is tax deductible.
