도미니칸 교육 센터 소개
1993 이래, 2,500 명 이상의 여성들이 영어 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기를 배우기 위해 왔습니다. 이 여성들 중 대부분은 자신의 조국에서 교육을 거의 또는 전혀 받지 않았습니다, 하지만 이곳을 알게 되었을 때, 자신들의 새로운 나라를 받아들이기 위해, 그들에게 영어를 배우는 것이 꼭 필요했습니다.
저희는 훈련된 자원 봉사자에 의한 개인 교수는 언어 교육을 실시하는 뛰어난 방법이라고 믿습니다. 저희의 훈련된 자원 봉사자들은 각각의 여성이 자신의 강점과 약점을 이해하고, 영어를 배우기 위해 그러한 강점을 사용할 수 있도록 돕습니다. 이 개인 교수 프로그램의 결과는 그 여성들이 의사소통을 하고 그들의 가족과 공동체, 그리고 일터에서 온전히 함께할 수 있는 것입니다. 도미니칸 교육 센터는 각각의 여성들이 그들의 새로운 나라에서 목소리를 낼 수 있는 권리를 가졌다고 믿으며 저희는 그들만의 목소리를 찾도록 돕고 있습니다.저희의 직원들

자문위원회
자문위원의 역할은 센터의 임무를 지원하고 센터와 그의/그녀의 공동체 사이의 교량 활동을 하는 것입니다. 자문위원회 일원으로 의견을 제시 또는 위원회에 상정되기 전에 문제에 대한 충고를 하고, 자금 조성을 도우며, 공동체의 필요에 대한 책임을 다할 수 있도록 센터를 돕고, 오로라 지역의 많은 그룹과 사업체와 연락을 담당하는 것입니다.
